Impeccable service!I wanted to wait to post my feedback as I wanted to do it with reflection.It has been over a year now since Lewis and his team cared for the funeral of my father, Len King. Nothing was too complex, and my mind was put at ease at our first appointment with Lewis. The request for the Flying Scotsman and hymn music score transfers on either side of his coffin, to the complex need of the two funeral services; one they carried out in Beverley and then, working alongside the directors in Suffolk, the other to my father’s hometown in Sudbury (just under 400 miles round trip). Their professionalism throughout was, as I started with, impeccable. The care and respect shown to my father was over and above my expectations and the attention to detail was handed with such care, including my father’s Braille copy of St John’s gospel being placed in his hands as if reading, such detail.I can only say again………. thank you, thank you, thank you.

From the very outset they were model professionals handling endless queries with calmness and real empathy. Mum’s funeral was exactly what she wanted. I have nothing but praise for Lewis and Vanessa at Lewis Northen Funeral Directors. From my very first enquiry through to the funeral itself, they handled the whole process with compassion, empathy and supreme attention to detail.In my mind, it’s no good being caring if you’re incompetent; equally, highly competent but no warmth or care in this industry wouldn’t work either. I’m pleased to say Lewis and Vanessa were professionals of the highest order as well as being just brilliant to deal with at a very difficult time.They called when they said they would, emailed when they said they would, dealt with everything as they said they would - I know this should be the same for every firm (in all industries) but it’s just not in my experience. Too much over promising and under delivering / but not here.Lewis promised that we’d be well looked after and he and Vanessa lived up to our expectations in every aspect.Calm, caring, reassuring, dignified, professional - I can’t see why you’d want any other firm to look after one of your loved ones at such a time.Thank you!
